Human Factors Specialist
From August 2019 - January 2021 I worked as the industrial design lead for Off the Grid - a mobile food and events company.
My role…
I developed smart, user-centered corporate catering products and dining experiences. I led the design and human factors research, prototyping, testing, and design engineering efforts. In collaboration with the internal design team we identified strategic growth opportunities to expand and scale the corporate catering business line by increasing the quality of the guests’ experience.
Project Sample - CUBERT
Due to NDA agreements, I am unable to share a majority of the projects I worked on. Cuberts are a public-facing product line that I’m proud to share so that you may get an idea of the kinds of projects I was involved in.
My role in the project…
I worked on the design detailing and human factors improvements for several new models: a Sommelier Cubert, a Dessert Cubert, and a Conference Room Cubert.
I collaborated with the design leadership and the engineering team to innovate new strategies and services to expand the Cubert product line.
Pop-Up Catering
A flexible food service unit that can seamlessly and dynamically offer the space required to execute a food concept. Prepare, plate and serve great food using professional grade equipment.
The Event Space
Modularity at its best. Support activation points with large and adjustable counter spaces, seating, integrated heating and Sonos Bluetooth music systems. This hangout area becomes a hub for people to socialize.
The Bar
A combination of a high-end wooden bar and custom designed wind walls creates a perfect bar unit, able to serve drinks in high traffic locations while providing some counter space protected from the wind.
